Mike Vallely is a true professional skateboarder. His moniker, well known throughout the circuit, is a shortened version of his name: “Mike V”. Vallely was born on the 29th of June in 1970. He was born in Long Beach in the state of California. Vallely stands at five feet, ten inches and weighs a solid one hundred eighty pounds. Vallely considers Edison in New Jersey as his hometown. Aside form being a professional skateboarder, Mike V is the lead vocal in a rock band.

He is married and has two kids to date. Mike has been participating as a skater since the year 1984 and went professional a mere two years later in the year 1986. Vallely, for all his inborn talents is a rebel among rebels. Mike rarely participates in international skateboarding competitions- a sign that endears him all the same to people who know the real pioneers of the sport. Mike is known for his deadly tricks and unbeatable techniques. He last participated in the X Games in the year 2003.

According to a well known skateboarding magazine, Vallely represents an icon breaker among the very icons of the sport- a sure indicator that he does not want the sport to end with a mere roster of the current “greats”.
