Rodil de Araujo, Jr., also known as “Rodil Jr.,” was born in Curitiba, Brazil in April 12, 1979. He started competing in 1991 but he blew the skateboarding scene away with multiple gold medals in the Park, Street and Street Best Trick disciplines during the 2002 Summer X Games.
2002 indeed proved to be an exciting year for Rodil Jr. as he ranked first place both in the WCS Year End NA and World Rankings. He landed on second place in the Best Trick category of the Gravity Games held in Cleveland Ohio. In 2003, he was again victorious garnering first place at the Latin X Games, Park discipline. He also competed at the Tampa Pro held in Tampa, Florida and Globe World Cup held in Melbourne, Australia. In both competitions, Araujo Jr. landed on second place in the Street category.
