Jake Brown is a professional skateboarder who has hoarded most of the gold medals in various competitions in his field. He is from Sydney, Australia and he has been skating since 1988. Because of his overall success as a skater, he was able to attract a lot of sponsorship from major sports companies and other related industries. Included in his list of major sponsors are LG, Independent, Blind, Monster Energy Drink, Dragon Sunglasses, Krew, Ricta, and Adidas.

Brown is known in his field for being fearless. He is not afraid to take risks and try out new things. Brown strives to continually improve his skills. He recognizes that the only limits that you have are the ones that you set on yourself. And so, Brown pushes himself against the limits. As such, he has been successful in doing a lot of daredevil tricks that most pros wouldn’t even dare to try. Included in his signature tricks is the massive one-footed 720s.

As a result of his perseverance and talent, he has been acclaimed by many ward giving bodies in sports. In 2003, he was chosen as one of the two Australian representatives for the X Games Global Championship. Two years after, he was recognized as the “Vert Skater of the Year 2005” by TransWorld Skateboarding.

Aside from the mentioned awards, Brown has bagged a lot of medals from various international competitions. In 2004, he ranked first in the Vert Skateboarding category of the LG Action Sports Tour that was held in Beijing, China. The year after, Brown bagged the silver medal in the Vert category, again at the LG Action Sports Tour which was then held at Paris, France. In 2006, Brown became the silver medalist of the X Games Big Air Competition. In 2007, he still ranked second in the same competition. This year, he went home with the X Games’ bronze.
