Walker’s “Road to Nowhere”: Unleashed

When you watch Road to Nowhere for the first time, you would notice two distinct things: the description does not really fit what the man has accomplished with his skis, goggles, thermal wear and a with his general disregard of where he was skiing at the moment. Road to Nowhere captures that moment of realization: skiing really is a road to nowhere, which makes it that much more powerful and endearing to people.

Matt Walker’s Road to Nowhere features the well-known skiing figure doing his thing in the streets of Calgary, Manchester, Boulder, Winter Park, New Jersey…and nearly all the cities in between. The point is, Walker has proven himself to be the machine of street skiing- something that younger players of the game have not been able to prove.
Walker tries skiing nearly everywhere and in any condition. He has even hinted of soft, cold powder that can bury you until the waste- but he skied over that too. The video is only a promise- because something even more spectacular can be expected from this man in the future.

Tricks? The small circles of real street skiers don’t call them tricks: they call it pure talent, and Walker has proven he has a lot of it. From wall ridges to other risky maneuvers on the most unstable and slippery terrains in the country, Walker proves again and again that he has complete control of his physique, as well as his two skis, which have to be the most abused equipment of Matt.

The urban setting is where Matt resides- challenging anyone to follow suit and just ski.
